Be sure you understand...

The bushes are small, all of them less than a foot. If you're expecting some big arching splashes of forsythia like Blanche Ziegler's, be prepared to wait a few years. Each spring will bring new anticipation, lust to see how the bloom will be.
Now the bulbs, they will give you the most next year. Get them this fall and put them in a finger-spread (end of thumb to end of little finger) a finger-spread deep and a finger spread-apart. They'll make you certain of spring when you see them.
Seeds is seeds. No guarantee of germination, but in the rare case when some of yours don't sprout, usually I might give you more seeds and more instructions on how to plant them.
The roots is another thing. You have to follow the directions on planting, pretty close. Otherwise they don't do so good. And they're slow too. Once they get started good, the pineys will go forever. But they take three years to get started good.
Just so you know, plants take time. Watching them grow is the most interesting part for some folks.
